NEW STEERING WHEEL

Replaced the old steering wheel and put a pretty nice one in. The old came off pretty easy, I did have to go get a steering wheel puller that I rented from Advanced Auto Parts for like 20 bucks. Got the old one off and then went to slap the new one on there and the damn bolt kept trying to cross thread onto the column. Went onto post where they have a garage for soldiers to work in, had to use a tap and dye to fix the threads . After I got all that it went right on!

When I bought the truck the drivers side of the windshield had a pretty bad crack in it, well I found a great auto glass and upholstery shop that did it for a bargain at Cato's Auto Glass CHECK OUT THE NEW VIEW

HEAD LIGHT RESTORATION

When I bought the truck the Head light Bevels were painted black and didn't look good at all. I decided I was going to try to restore the chrome under the paint to the original look . I didn't have any idea on the condition of the chrome under the paint but I figured if it looked bad I could just RE paint them later. The Chrome wasn't as bad as I expected but new ones will be purchased at a later date in till then it looked pretty good, better than black anyways.

HOOD PAINTING

Once we cleaned the truck I thought it almost looked as bad is it did before with all the discoloration, who knows how long that dirt and grime was building up under the hood almost scares me " I wounder what all fell in the carb over the years. What needed to be done was Simple PAINT IT. I knew I had to take my time to make it look decent. Started off with one LIGHT coat of cheep Wall Mart spray paint FLAT BLACK let it dry for about one hour and then went back and could still see a lot of the blue threw the new black paint so I did another layer. then waited about 2 or three more hours and it was ready for a nice Gloss Finish Turned out great compared to before! I was going to just flat black it but Sabrina talked me into getting a gloss paint.

HOOD CLEANING

Well I don't know if you remember the inside of the truck before and after Sabrina and I cleaned it "IF not scroll down and LOOK" but the hood was WAY WAY WORSE. caked on dirt and grime from I don't know how long, as you know the truck didn't have a air cleaner on top the carburetor which mad it WAY worse. Well Tab and Sabrina where bored one afternoon and I had already planed on cleaning it so I did what any reasonable person would do I LET THEM DO IT!! Now don't get me wrong I was there and I did too work but I did more of the supervising. Turned out a lot better than I thought
